Your bike looks good!

One suggestion I have is to remove the chrome rail from the front fender. The fender will look cleaner without it. The chrome up front kind of sticks out on your blacked-out bike.

good point ken. when i sit down and do the saddlebag latches i will do that also and then have it painted. i am really happy, happy, happy with the way it has turned out so far. next winter it will be the tank, fenders, saddlebags and side covers..figure i will keep this one a couple more years. 2010 with 43xxx on it and ESP runs out in nov of 2015..road trip to minnesota a week from monday then july 25th riding up to sturgis.

Yeah - couple of folks here have removed it, and their bikes look better without it. Limiteds and Street Glides don't even have it, and the look is cleaner... you see more of the wheel.

I assume you're going to paint it black... but gloss or denim? The Black Pearl that was on some baggers a few years back looks really good, too.

Have fun at Sturgis! Several guys here are going, but that's just too long of a hot, boring superslab ride for me to be interested in doing from here. I much prefer riding our beautiful north Georgia and NC mountains, the BRP, Cherohala, etc. - especially in the summer. I'll be doing morning rides in July and August, then hanging out at the pool during the heat of the day drinking beer!
