From what I have been told, its legal to have 1 ear plug/bud in at a time.

 

Ha-Ha First time I have heard that! And it may be true I just don't know. Even though it seems risky I do use mine at times (both). They always have motorcycle headsets for sale at dealerships so ...

 

I know older thread but in my search for this question this thread popped up and conveniently in my state! I figure technically its illegal and I completely understand safety but to play devils advocate. The noise that ear plugs or buds will block would drown out the horns or sirens they would want us to hear. I think this is why the law is not enforced myself..
