Default Colt Anaconda 44 Mag, 4" barrel

From the serial number, it looks like it was made in 1994, it's in amazing condition, was made a few years after the initial release in 1991 with bad barrels. Nicely polished stainless steel. I dont think it's the super bright variant, but it's very clean.

My question is, does anyone have one of these bad boys? A buddy's family member wants to part with one before he moves to another state.

I can pick it up for around $900 if I want. I am thinking I should pass it up.

Anaconda's (and Python's) garner a huge premium over other brands. Without seeing the revolver, $900 seems to be a decent price. It's also worth more if all the original packaging comes with it. Check the online auction sites: Gunbroker, Gunsamerica, etc. to get an idea.

It's through a friend and I dont think they have the original box, as the guy has owned it for a LONG time.

My guns have sentimental value to them and I only sold two and even though I only had each for a few months, I still regret it.

Yeah, I looked at the gun sites and hardly found any 4 inch barrels, and those were going for a lot more than 900. Some of the longer barrles were going for $1250, but it's my understanding that they 4" is more valuable.

I don't own a large revolver and this one makes sense. I've shot the .500 S&W and liked them a lot, but I think the 44 will mean more to me.

Thanks guys, I'll probably make an offer tonight for somewhere south of $900, cash now, of if he want's 900, he'll have to wait a few weeks. I just bought exhaust and a bunch of other stuff for my bike.

I'll post up some pics when I grab it!

I have one with the 8 inch barrel. If the condition is good it is worth every bit of 900. That is the best shooting revolver I have ever shot, great trigger and the action is super smooth. I would get it before he changes his mind.

I got it! Will try to hit the range tomorrow for a little fun with it. Really like the way it feels in my hand. We'll see if I say the same thing after a box or so of ammo, LOL.

I'll post a pic tomorrow when I can get some good light on it.

You can't hardly beat a .44 MAG. I am sure it is a real blast coming out of a 4 in barrel. Let us know how it shoots!

Damned if I didnt have to work till 10:30 last night, so it will be tomorrow before I get to fire it. I went outside with it late last night and my wife actually asked me if I was going to shoot it outside. It was more of a request to not do it. Actually, I probably wasnt a request, but I only laughed. I know exactly how many cops will show up if the neighbors call...
