100th Mission
Hey Sniper, Yes, 100 ....... I am very proud to escort that many fallen, but in reality I wish the real figure was zero, meaning that there were no fallen to bury.... I can't make that sound right, I hope you get what I mean.
I am about 40 miles away from Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, the 2nd largest Veteran cemetery behind Arlington in D.C. so we get a substantial number of missions in my area, probably a bit more than average. I still work, so I try to average at least 3 missions per week, but there are some days like this Monday where we had 5 missions in one day.... so 100 may sound far fetched, but many of my retired PGR buddies put in much more time than I do.
Good for you on your 6 missions, very respectable and very appreciated ! I have skewed way off topic, Sorry All.... I will shut up now.
Ride safe Sniper.

Just to follow up...
I went on my first mission empty handed. I was immediately welcomed into the brotherhood by everyone there and felt really comfortable.
It was definitely a moving and worthwhile experience that I am eager to do again.
It is tough to make all the missions that go out because of distance and/or lack of time to get away to participate. I can see now why there are so many retired guys doing this!

I went to my first mission without a flag as well, just to see what I 'should' be doing.
Why not buy your flag and pole from the PGR store? There's more than one way to support them/us.
I've not met a PGR member that wasn't helpful to the new members.
This is at Arlington National Cemetery. (I'm the second from the left, in the white t-shirt.)
