Default Going in style

Today the San Diego Patriot Guard honored SCPO Jack Villanueva. SCPO Villanueva served our country in the Golf Wars where he was highly recognized. He was a car nut, and passed when he lost control of his beloved 2013 Corvette on a rain slickened turn. We had a good turnout of PGR, and had a CHP escort, and approximately 15 miles of Southern California freeway. The procession was about 1/4 mile long, and this was my first large accompaniment as a new PGR Ride Captain.

The "Hearse", with the hero inside, is in the attached photo.

BTW, it's a 2005 Roadking with an aftermarket trike conversion with 5th wheel type hitch. The trike has rear drum brakes, and so does the hearse. The hearse brakes are electric activated, but with about 1,000 pounds of added weight the driver said stopping isn't its best feature.

What a way to honor a hero and brother biker. I've been really considering joining my local PGR as I've just recently heard of it. Seems very rewarding and more importantly a great way to honor our heros

You will never find a more rewarding experience ! At first I thought I would get used to the routine . Never will !!
Every mission is a bit different. But always guaranteed to wrench the heart & mind !
I always feel I should be able to do more, but the family will tell you differently ! A good pair of sunglasses is recommended.
You really need to make that move !

Very classy way to honor a Hero. Thanks for standing in for all of us!

That looks awesome!! Very cool. I really miss riding with you guys as well as breakfast after Veterans without families at Miramar. The PGR in my area are not close enough for me since I'm still working and taking care of elderly parents. Please give everyone my best. Is Smokestack still involved?
