My dad just bought some 10" apes for his 2010 Ultra Classic. What all needs to be done to his cables and how long? He's particularly interested to know about the brakes as he has ABS.

 

Just installed wild1 10" bagger apes on my 2010 ultra classic. Went +4 on the brake lines and clutch cable. While the clutch cable worked but I would recommend +6. +4 was plenty on the brakes. Also extended the wires with a NAMZ kit. Think it was 8 inch.

 

His dealer had said since it's ABS he had to have it hooked up to a machine for the brake bleeding.

 

I put 10s on my ultra!!
brake line did not need extending just loosen line on master very little rotate it!!
No wire extensions just reroute them !!
4 inch longer clutch cable!!

 

Dad will love those apes, got 10 inch apes on my 2010 ultra and it's one of the best things I've done to the bike. Like wrenchguy says, nothing but a 4" over clutch cable needed.
