Default XM Radios

I had a XM Radio installed on my 14 Ultra Limited. I live on the east coast and I dont get good reception in some areas. I have an external antenna on order. My pickup has XM with good reception. Any comments?

Yeah it stinks...had both the HD module set up and now the Sony module which plugs into the back of my Sony head unit. Poor reception when riding on tree covered roads. Poor sound clarity / quality and lack of volume as well.

Oh yeah, and the subscription cost.

Streaming Pandora via blue tooth is the way to go for me.

External antenna should help. I have personally never had reception problems with external antennas on any of my bikes. Love my SiriusXM.

Same here. Have it on my 2009 Ultra Classic, have two external antennas and get great reception. Have not been anywhere yet that reception was poor.

I have a Sony HU. I mounted my antenna on a small metal plate (attached to the fairing with double sided tape and then I grounded it) on the top of my fairing on the inside of the windshield. I get great reception. Much better than when the antenna was mounted inside the fairing.

I originally had my set up inside the fairing and it worked good on the highway but the slightest tree cover would knock it out. I currently have it mounted outside on the fairing pouches. It does work better outside. But it's far from perfect with reception and sound quality leaves a little to be desired.

Sorry but the subscription cost doesn't justify having it. There's better options with Pandora and USB's these days. Also plenty of talk on XM.
