New battery ruined?

Guess we all just have different experiences....I've taken many batteries to auto zone, left for 6 to 8 hours with them, picked it up, re-installed, and never had an issue. From riding lawn mower batteries to motorcycle batteries to my teenage daughter's car with lights left on..........guess it depends on the condition of the battery before discharge.

Yep. Me too. Although I do suggest load testing a battery, at the same time, I will say that one can be completely misled by meters and diagnostic tools...sometimes experience and the seat of one's pants is the better way. If the OP has faith in his battery now that he's recovered it, head on... it's probably gonna be just fine!

Recharge the battery. You should be good. I carry one of these in a saddlebag.

i would have thought you would have learned after the first one. if you set your own override pin, you would not have had to walk or hitch a ride anywhere. just input your code and go......
