They all look like water under riding conditions with high ambient temps. I never saw any difference...

Yep, the "Looked like water" comment is a pretty common statement when folks debate the cons of using synthetics. The significance of the observation isn't as forthcoming though and non-synthetics thin right out too when hot, as dochawken observes. Immediately (before it had a chance to shear) after my last oil change involving HD 360, my oil pressure dropped to 12 psi from 40 during a long ride on a hot day. The dip stick showed full but the oil was certainly thin, real thin. "It does that, who knew"?

I was on my first bike back in 69' and noticed it "looked like water" when it warmed up. That was long before Synthetics were popular. Figured out way back then that they all do it.

I just bought this, that same amount at O'Reily will cost you 29.95. But if you like the single containers go for it.

that's where I get it, got 91k on my 09 Ultra, most of it with the M1 15-50 including death valley at 117 deg, no marble sound in top end...

15-50 cannot be had anywhere in Mid-Michigan. Been all over the big chains and auto parts stores. They quit buying it as it sat on the shelves forever.
Used in hydraulics for 0 turn mowers. X-Mark wants $25 a quart!
