Default Vance and Hines Dresser Duals

Recently I have swapped out my stock head pipes with the Vance and Hines dresser duals, I have now noticed more vibration than before, is this normal? I haven't found anything loose. Just checking to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Thanks.

Check the rubber on the exhaust hangers. One of mine slid all the way out. Towards the front of the bike.

There should not be any more vibration than your previous pipes.

You mentioned you didn't find anything lose, but did you check to make sure no part of the pipes are making contact with any part of the frame or foot board brackets?

Something is not right if there is more vibration after a pipe change.
Sometimes the fact the new pipes are louder than the old ones, might give you the impression there is more vibration.
So, don't confuse the two.

Check and see if your pipe coming out of the front cylinder is contacting the rear brake arm. I had to remove the arm and grind a small amount of metal off of it so it wouldn't touch the exhaust pipe. That solved my vibration issue.

I also think, but I'm not sure that there's a spacer on my right floor board that moved the board just away from the header.

My Power Duals have that spacer, but I don't know if the Dresser Duals are the same.
If any part of the header pipe is contacting the foot board bracket, it will for sure be felt as a vibration.

Its likely not the brake arm, but the support arm for the right floor board.

Solution is to get floorboard extensions from someplace like vtwingoodies or kury. This is what solved this problem for me.

Here's my thread on the issue, with pics: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...s-install.html, specifically post #21 with a pic

Well, sure, but apparently it does, a lot. I'm happy with the floorboard extensions anyway, so all good.

If I knew then what I know now about this issue, and performance, I probably would have gone with MGS true duals.
