Another seat question....Touring seats for larger guys

seat question
sewell...these bikes were designed for 5'8", 175 lb. riders. we suffer in the stock configuration, therefore, we must "alter" the 3 points at which we are connected to the bike: hands, butt, feet.
6'4", 285 lb., 36" sleeve, 36" inseam
hands: HD 13" mini apes...eased the tension in the shoulders and upper back
butt: Russell Day-Long rebuilt my police saddle, adding height and width...wonderful! Hog is correct....these are the best
feet: tall boys cycles footboard relocation brackets...moved boards forward 2" and dropped the heel 2.5"...correct angle for ankle, knee and hip...
so it's not always "just" a seat question....all 3 points are connected....maybe only one or two need changing....maybe all three.
good luck

I wish I would have kept that C&C, sold it to you and bought a Mustang Vintage Super Solo for the Road King Classic and it was awesome for about an hour then my *** went numb because it was too soft. That was worse than before!
The C&C was the better than stock but still not my answer like the OP I'm still searching.

Seriously, I love that seat and I'm glad you were unloading it. I prefer the backrest on the Mustang but the C&C seat is da bomb.

You would think Harley would put better seats on. When you go to a bike event....How many skinny bikers do you see?
Im 6' 280 and have been looking for a comfortable seat. Was looking at the Mustang Super Touring but my inseam is only 31" and I have heard that its made for guys with longer legs.

Suggestion
My buddy is 6'4" and had the same problem you have. He tried evrything out there, both HD and aftermarket products and wasn't satisfied. Until he got a LePera seat. He absolutely loves the seat (not sure which model he got) but it is low, comfortable and does not push him forward. Here's the link so you can check them out. He had a 2013 Street Glide and just traded it in for a 2015 Road Glide and with the improvements to the 2015 he's in heaven! He did have to buy an extended brake reatr lever because for some ridiculous reason HD shortened the stock lever. Good luck!

Another plus for the russel seat is their 100% money back guarantee . What other seat offers that? Read their policy first so you understand the requirements. I lost more on seat purchases that it cost to have mine made. That was with recouping half of what I spent on the various seats, airhawk cushions, pads and sheep skins. I got one for my Honda St1300 too. Skipped the rest and bought the best the first time with that bike
