Thumbs up

I never believed in chrome polish. I thought whatever I was waxing/polishing the bike with was good enough. Then I tried Mother's chrome polish and I can definitely see a difference. Seems to give the chrome kind of a blue luster.

Usually polish is abrasive and removes contamination from the surface, wax seals the surface, they do too different things. I use polish to get the shine and wax to keep surface sealed from the elements. I always wax, or oil on the chrome to prevent oxide from forming under the surface and causing it to flake off.

Chrome polish will take off any burnt on bugs, crap or debris with a little rubbing.
Wax, on the other hand won't. If your chrome is absolutely clean, wax is all you need. If not, use chrome polish.
To see if your paint or chrome has any impurities on the surface, do the plastic bag test: Put a baggie on your hand and rub it on your paint or chrome surface. If you feel anything, your paint or chrome is dirty and needs attention. If it is as smooth as a baby's rump, your good.

I like to use cheap Turtle Chrome polish on a wet micro fiber cloth every 3 or 4 months to gently remove road tar and grime from my pipes.

We designed a chrome polish with an acrylic sealer. Helps protect the chrome from corrosion, especially near the coast where salt water is an issue. If you see our reps at an event we usually give out free samples.

Default Mothers

Rode under a new concrete overpass last week. They were irrigating the newly poured concrete and i went through the sediment. The diluted concrete dried and stained my chrome wheels. The Mothers chrome polish got the stains off and the wheels look better than new,but it did take 2 applications and a lot of elbow grease.
