Default How many of you use chrome polish?

I have always used Mothers chrome polish on my bikes. But as I am ready to buy another bottle I was wondering is there a difference between using chrome polish and wax. Is there a difference in protection or shine? Just curious I guess.

Got a free can of the Harley brand chrome polish last month. I used it on the wife's chrome *****. It worked just as good as the turtle wax chrome polish if not better. On a plus side the wife commented that it smelled good.

Windex and 0000 steel wool... and a clean terry rag.

Has kept mine looking new for years.... Don't scrub too hard, you don't have to.

Mother's was on sale, i think any chrome or even car polish works well, as long as it is easy to take off. Just did mine this morning.

But i actually just use a detailing spray on the rag for the engine parts.

Simichrome is what I've been using for more than 20 years and I think it does a better job than wax; a little goes a long way.

I used wax if the chrome looks good and I'm too lazy to grab the chrome polish, but using chrome polish always looks better than wax.

I don't believe I have used chrome polish since my 20's when i was still buying used vehicles and used it to polish off rust and stains. Since then I keep my stuff clean with frequent wash and dry and maybe a good waxing once a year. Never seem to need the chrome polish anymore.
