Are you a step through or a swing over, Groovus?

Standing on right side, put hands on bar grips, right foot on floorboard. Easily swing left foot over. Easy mount. Cowboy style!

My fat a$$ would pull the bike right over on top of myself. I know, I have seen me do it. :-)

Step through, only way I can get on or off.

I have done this for several years know, but I am 67 and it is a lot easier and safer. I am 5'11" so I do not have to step on the floorboard. On the sporty, still do the round house kick if I am on the left, step through if I am on the right.

Come to think of it, even with the sporty now I walk over to the right side. Bad right knee makes the step through sooooo much easier.

But I still mount a horse from the left and get into my cage from the drivers door.

Added: I do not step on the floor board. I am able to drop my left leg straight through with my right foot on the ground. I do hold gently onto the right grip, but I am old use it as insurance. I do it so fast that I really don't even think about it. In a pinch, say the bike next to me is on its stand and parked close, I can use the left side horse mount. Bend the knee and rotate it over and down to the stirrup or floor board or ground. It works, but that knee hurts so when I can, it is from the right side and a simple drop over.

At 5'7" I have some marks on my seat. Usually get on and off ok, but sometime I get lazy mounting and drag my foot. Maybe I need to do that step on right footboard thing.

I step through, much easier for me. I have had people ask me about it and I tell them to try it. Then they understand. 08 Ultra
