Default 94 FLH upgrade

I am planning on upgrading a friends 94 FLH . I was wondering if anyone knows weather the stock rear sprocket pod my 07 FLH would fit a 94 rear wheel . If it will I can donate my old sprocket to the the project and we will put a narrower belt and wider rear tire on his 94 FLH . Thanks for any info .

No! The screw hole pattern is the same, however the central mounting hole of your pulley is larger, so it will not be properly located and supported around the '94 bearing housing. On my 1990 I have replaced the swingarm and wheel as well as rear brake, off an 07, so I can use a narrow belt and wider tyre.

With the stock wide belt a 140/90 or MU (actually a 140/85) will fit without too much hassle, although you may need to trim the belt guard. I did that on my 1990 some years ago. Some members claim to have installed a 150/80, but that is very marginal IMHO.

No problem...use a simple adapter to mount 2000-up pulley to a Pre-1999 Wheel...$6

Google "The Correct Rear Wheel Pulley/Sprocket Spacer/Adapter". They're all over eBay too.

I got one for my Bobber build and it worked great.

They have different sizes for sprocket spacing. They cost more but I think they work great. The smaller adapters are for the disk brake rotors.
