most definitely.. just wanted him to check the S# so he would know exactly what was done from an "outside" perspective.

There hasn't been a bike release from the factory since 1984 with a Shovelhead engine. 1997 bikes were Evo.

Ok all you Harley VIN decoder people..... How to tell the year on anything (car or bike) is the 10th digit or letter in the VIN. In this case you use the first "Y" which means the frame is a 2000 model year bike. As for the motor.........ANYTHING could be in it. Your guess is as good as mine.

that's what I get for trying to read this on a 4.5" screen on a soccer field. I was reading the YY as VV

VIN# 1HD1FDV13YY637911 is what I decipher from that frame pic. Which makes it a 2000 model FLHR frame with a twin cam 88"
Engine S# FDVY637911 is what I decipher from the engine label. This means cases match frame so they go together but really no way to tell what was actually done to the motor itself.

What makes you think it's a SE 96" motor?

screaming eagle heads, cylinders.....just got done pulling the top end on it this weekend looking to make some upgrades and track down some excessive valve train noise.
