Numbers don't mean squat if the bike don't run right. This chart tells me the bike runs as it should. Nice looking chart, smooth curves, pulls wide. Hell your TQ is still @ 90 @ 4800 rpms. That's pretty good for a mild cam, exhaust, and air cleaner.

Well, not to hijack this man's thread, but yeah I did..... And I'm not very happy with the results.
When you put in my 777's and I uploaded Jamie's map from FM, my butt dyno told me it had a lot more power mid-range and top end than my 255's, and I did not feel like I sacrificed anything down low (down low for me being 2700, I don't romp on it before that.....)
That is what my butt dyno said.....
Also - I was hoping for numbers that were similar to other dyno's on the FM website with similar set ups - maybe 110 TQ, 100 HP - give or take a little
My 255's were 100 TQ, and 82 HP......
When I had a base line dyno run - NOT a dyno tune, but a base line Dyno Run to just see where I was at with my 777's, my curved moved to the right some, but my TQ remained 100 TQ, and my HP went to 88.....
I really thought I gained more than 6 HP....
my set up is:
Stock 103 motor - stock compression, pistons, heads, etc
SE Heavy breather
D&D Fat Cat
Wood's 777 cam
Tune - Map from FM
Here are 3 dyno charts - my 255 chart, my 777 chart, and a posted dyno chart from FM website.....
Also, the dyno pulls on my 255 and 777 were done by the same guy, same dyno machine, a year later - but same dyno......
Sorry the for the book here :-)
My old 255:
My 777 pull:
Similar Set up on FM Website:
But....... I've finally decided to have a motor built by Wolfgang in Baytown. I've talked about it for years, and wanted it forever but didn't want to invest the $$$.... I finally bit the bullet, and went for it. I bought an extra set of heads that is working on now... When he gets through, gonna get a 117" kit with a new crank shaft.... have him bore the case out to fit a 117, put a 117" S&S kit on it, with his heads, and roll That is a 1-2 year project in the making

But he only ran base line dyno pulls to get the numbers.... They had "Free Dyno Run" days just to see what your bike is doing, and what the next step would be..... Both of my runs were simply the map that FM provided, with a few autotune runs with the Power Vision......
What really makes no sense is the butt dyno being so happy - hard to believe I would feel that much different with 6hp........ unless it's just wishful thinking on my part :-)

ah.. so it wasn't a dyno tune.. just a couple of runs.
I can tell you that the maps FM and DJ (or anyone else for that matter) provide are in the "vicinity" but nowhere near being accurate for your build. No one can send you a map that will be spot on, it's impossible. I guarantee you've got more on the table than that run shows. Schedule you an appointment with Josh Thomas @ Top Dead Center Performance and let him tune that bike properly and I think you'll be happy. Those heads you're having worked, if they're being done at 82-83cc and a .030 head gasket with that cam, you're looking at about 10.4:1 static compression and staying right at 198 CCP you'll really be happy. That's a great cam, a/c, and exhaust combination and IMO should certainly be showing more than that run shows.

Have the SE255 in now and have put several miles like 30K on them. I love them for the low in grunt, but they run so damn hot. I am going to replace them with the T Mann 555 Torqster cam, with the overlap and the valves opening longer I am hoping that the motor will run cooler. Time will tell.....
