Default Wrong fork tubes

Hello everybody, I have a question to ask. I am replacing my fork tubes on my 04 road king custom and when I ordered the replacements off of ebay they sent me FLST fork tubes size 41mm length 22.25 inch. When I put them beside my road king tubes they where about a inch and a half longer but the same diameter. So my question is this, Can I still use them and what effect will the FLST's have on the bike? i.e. handling, ride height, etc. Thanks in advance I know you guys will school this newb.

If there is room you can let the tubes go out from the tree 1.5 inches which will give you the stock position. If there isn't room for that to take place I would contact the seller.

Your ride height will be an inch and a half higher, you'll need a spring spacer that's an equal amount longer. All early bikes (prior to 2014) have the 41mm forks. Unfortunately, they're a little on the flexy side. Longer tubes will only exacerbate this. Higher speed sweeping turns won't be as stable and if you hit a bump or road undulation you may notice significant instability. If I was sticking with 41 mm, I'd stay at the stock length.
