decisions, decisions. I do like the look of the kuryakyns, and the price point is right where i want to be. Have some time before i make any decisions, so will keep researching. Thinking now, if i do go with the harley auxiliary light bracket, may just buy the required bulbs (maybe led bulbs), then install the day maker aux lights at a later date. $700-800 is just a tad high for driving lights

CD's Cool Magic lights are $250...

FWIW, I have the HD FLHX driving light kit and regular bulbs (smoke tinted) which work OK, but plan to upgrade my driving bulbs to Truck-Lite bulbs soon < http://www.discountfleetsupply.com/tlc80275.html> as I already have the Phase-7 headlamp. Seen this set-up on a few bikes and it's definitely bright. Good luck!

For me there would be only one option if the factory style lights were out of the question. Mount driving lights to the crash bar:

If your on a tight budget, buy a used set of the Harley lights. They work Ok.

So if I had a choice between kuryakyn, moto lights, or harley auxillary lamps with daymakers, which would be best in your guys opinion

I don't like the towel bar set up on the Kury set up on a Street Glide. I'd say the HD set up is the best but dam those daymaker bulbs are expensive. You could go with a different bulb but it won't match.

Here's my set up. I'll be adding the HD set up with the truck light passing lamps.

If I end up going with the harley aux lamps I will probably just use the standard bulbs and then upgrade later to the daymakers, too much coin to drop on a set of lights at once. Have to spread it out so the wife doesn't notice

I have the Kury 5005's, and I wouldn't buy them again. You do get some extra light but not enough for what they cost. The "chrome" on the bezels is starting to peel off. Junk IMO.

I upgraded my sealed headlight to a flat lense, 2012 HD model and installed a $30 HID kit on it. For my spot lights, I changed the dull, sealed lenses with the flat, clear lens from a newer HD, installed 37.5 watt, 6000k zenon hyper white bulbs for $12 and couldn't be happier! Plenty of light

I have the Kury lights you originally asked about. I have had them for 3 years and they look and work great. I haven't had the problems others are stating though.
