are you sure it only happens after washing it?
I have a similar sound that only happens with the bike is cold.
I think it's one of the baffles that causes it, when it warms up, all is fine.
I think the heat expands the baffle enough to tighten it up, at least that's my theory
on my bike's problem, but I have not taken out the baffles yet to see it's that is really whats going on.

Point was to seal the intake and exhaust with bags to keep water out ( I'll make that more clear in my other post)

also any exposed electronics.

bucket and sponge method because that puts your hand in contact with the parts on the bike and you just might feel something loose before it drops off on the road- same for drying with a chamois

I mention pressure washer because some guys were causing problems blasting water into bearings etc or the CD slot...doh!@

In San Diego county we have finally been put on water restrictions. That includes no car washing, except for car washes that recycle water.

Hmmm...they didn't say anything about motorcycles though.

We just finished a road trip and both the trike and my rain gear needs a good washing. Maybe I'll just put on the rain gear and go through an automatic car wash. Two birds with one stone.

Positive. It is fine when cold and only happens after washing it.

I get it and should have been more clear in my original post. I am going to follow your advice before taking it to the dealership so I can provide them with a more clear picture of what might or might not be causing the problem.

Thanks

+mkguitar. I've been using plastic bags over mufflers & A/C for as long as I can remember. Get yourself a Airshammy
