Default Deal or no deal???

I am looking at a 2014 Amber Whiskey/Black limited. I have a 2008 ultra classic with 38k on the clock. I can give them my bike (trade in ) and $17000.00 out the door for the 2014.
Question......is this a deal or no deal.

Also posted in Rushmore....thought I mite get good feed back out of both forums

No deal, There only giving you 7 or 8K for your bike tops. Probably 6K is more like it. You can sell it for more than that and buy the limited outright. The 2014 limited new around here is 24 or 25K. And there sitting there still for sale with no buyers lining up to buy them.

I assume the 2014 is new. What is the MSRP without the dealer add ons. Use an appropriate guide to get the wholesale trade value of you trade. That will answer your question.

I never trade a ride in...always sell it privately..it reduces the fog of negotiation immensely. I suggest you do the same and not rely on the immediacy of the trade in...you pay handsomely for that.

I would have to say Deal. But push for a 15. Have they done any mods to the 14? The 14 is a huge improvement over the 08

That's a lousy deal.I'd keep your '08 Ultra add around a $ 1,000 to that $17,000 they're looking to take from ya and buy a new 2015 RoadKing.
