Default 2012/13 vs 2014 street glide.

Looking at both of these models for a possible upgrade was wondering if the features in the 14 were worth not buying a used low mile 12/13 again.of course the 14 will be a used low mile as well

Questions is linked braking an option or standard? I know abs and security are but are they worth it? 4.3 boom or the nav screen worth it Or just get a 12/13 with the reg radio only be using my iPod for music anyway?

Is the new air vent worth it?

Rode a 14 (non special) loved it. Is the ride any different on a 12/13 model or all pretty much the same?

This would be my first and probly last touring bike
Right now on an 04 dyna so this will be a big upgrade for me
Thanks sorry if this has been asked before

get the 2014.

Better engine, better bags, better electronics, etc.

And:

- better looking wheels (my opinion)
- 49 MM forks vs. 45 MM
- 19" front wheel
- higher output engine (cam upgrade to about a 255)

Get the 2014.

Sold my 13 limited, went with a 14 street glide special. The 14 is better by far!
To me the new front end and triple tree setup is the best advancement, followed
by the cams, linked brakes, and infotainment system. The SGS comes with the 6.5 infotainment, linked brakes, and security. I don't think you would be unhappy with
a 12/13, but, the 14's are definitely an improvement and resale will definitely be better. JMHO

For me the 2014 handles and turns like a crotch rocket. The 2012/13 turns like a freight ship..... There is that much difference. Besides all the other features listed above.

I think your right because when I rode it handled like a much lighter bike. I just think the air shocks we're pumped up too high because I dint even sag when I sat on it.

I have a 14 King so no radio but the rest of the improvements are worth it. Just the new saddlebags alone makes it a much nicer bike. Good luck.
