.5 inch difference isnt gonna do anything as far as looks go. Price difference is about all you might notice at that point.

Mine are 5" on a Limited Ultra. I like the look of the entire pipe covered. By the way, "what's best" depends on what you like for YOUR bike.

Preference...I'm glad the crowd of "anti-stretched bags" guys haven't shown up yet. I have 4.5 and I have 0 issues.

Batman says .5 inches doesn't make a difference....maybe because I stare, but I can see the .5 inches...I can tell if someone has 4 or 4.5........IF they haven't lowered their bike, I can tell from the high side. But I'll agree that it's not that dang big of a deal, so on that note, I agree with Batman.

... wouldn't it depend on how you ride as well?

Absolutely! I often wonder if I'm not riding as hard as my crotch rocket days. I look at my buddies with stretched bags and as I'm riding behind them, I'm wondering if we're all not riding as hard in curves. Evidently not----but it looks and feels like we're leaning pretty good---so, I guess that's all that matters. I feel that I push pretty hard and I'm not losing in clearance that I had before.......So for me, I say I've lost no clearance and will hit the ground only on the tightest curves. I have the metal plates under mine so it's no big deal.

For others....they would rip the bags off because they lean more I definitely wouldn't ride the dragon with these...unless it's cautiously

But at least you brought it up ....cuz most responses are normally....you're crazy, you're going to tear them up, they're stupid, I took them off and never will again. As you mentioned....it's really about riding style

personal preference. Do you ride aggressively in corners or are you a local rider trying to turn heads at bike night? Personally I went with cvo style bags because in my opion they look the best, but that's my personal preference

I'm running 4.5 stretched bags and I don't have any issues with cornering. My bags are beveled too...

I went with the CVO's. I don't want to worry about dragging em
