OK, I filled my tank last week. Rode the bike to work on Monday. On the way home, was not paying attention until I looked down and saw the low fuel indicator illuminated. Odometer showed 225 miles (I always reset when gassing up). Took the next exit off the highway and headed straight to a gas station. After proceeding through a traffic light the bike started sputtering and I coasted into the gas station. There was 229 miles on the odometer now. 229 divided by 5 gallons = 45.8 MPG.

Engine is bone stock 2005 88 with 106K miles. Still runs great. Usually I always gas up around 200 miles. Not bad.

 

I used to get MPG like yours and sometimes even better but since installing Andrews 21 cams, PCV with autotune my MPG has tanked to below 40.

I am sure some of it is more spirited riding playing with the new power !! I am still learning the autotune and will eventually figure out how to adjust for better MPG.

Mine is a 88" 2004.

 

I bought my 2009 SG in July. About the first weekend I bought it I went on a 400 mile day trip. I checked my mileage and it was about 52 MPH. That blew my mind, I have never gotten anything close to that before on my other bikes. I haven't checked it since.

 

I had a 2007 Road Glide and now have a 2012 Road Glide. I never checked around town I'm sure it is less. On the highway riding 2 up with luggage and setting cruise control at 80mph I have consistently gotten 49mpg. Not too shabby.

38-42 no matter what.

 

Stock 2014 limited getting up around 45 mpg. I'm real happy with that. My old 2003 FB was getting low 30's. My truck gets 14. Ya, I'm happy.

 

I average around 42.
