Utra Classic or ultra Limted?

The twincooled motor has higher compression and makes better power right off the floor.
so factor than into your calculations
from Rider magazine:
"On Jett Tuning’s dyno, our 2014 Ultra Limited test bike belted out 95.0 lb-ft of torque at 3,700 rpm and 79.2 horsepower at 5,200 rpm at the rear wheel—11.5 percent and 16.3 percent higher, respectively, than the standard Twin Cam 103-equipped 2011 Road Glide Ultra (85.2 lb-ft of torque, 68.1 horsepower; Rider, September 2010"

But, I would want the wet heads, and I would imagine that the way the motor responds to throttle input is at least different, if not better. I would try to ride and see which you like based on that, but I'll still say go straight for the Limited.
PS - I'm surprised they even got 68.1 out of the 11 RG. My 11 Ultra came in at 59.something. The 107 kit fixed that right up.

I have an Ultra with the upgraded radio. I am extremely happy with the bike. Neither radio comes with an AUX port, so I added that.
We went on a trip with a bunch of friends to the Grand Canyon in July and mine had no issues hanging with the Limited's in the group(we were VERY loaded down). I agree with nevada72 in that comparing a 14 to an 11 is not an honest comparison. I admit my bias, but...
You may notice that I did some basic engine upgrades. I would have done them no matter which model I had gotten. Both of the engines are so restricted, I think they are so much better opened up. I added the Air Wing Rack, another thing I would have done either way just because it looks better IMO. Honestly, the only thing I kind of wish I had that is on the Limited is the CB radio. It would have been nice on the long trip with friends, but that is the only time I would have used it since I got the bike...so no biggie.
The thing that really made the deal for me was the paint combination on the one I got. I liked it more than any other combo offered. I know the Limited came in the same colors with a similar layout, but I didn't like it as much as the Ultra layout. The differences are subtle, but noticeable to me.
Ride both of them and get whichever one you like more. When I saw the one I have, it spoke to me and that was that. It's a great driving bike that I ride whenever I can(almost 15,000 miles and I got it Jan 22nd).

Limited gets you security system, cb with the 6.5 infotainment, painted inner fairing, heated grips, 12 volt receptacle in the tourpac, tourpac luggage rack, light weight luggage for sadlebags and tourpac, different paint schemes, chromed lace wheels(easier to clean), and the twin cooled which I can't say you will notice the power increase, but you sure will notice how much cooler your right thigh is, especially when you ride where heated grips aren't important.
