The 08 and up seats all will attach to the bike, but they are not interchangeable. When I had an 08 streetglide, I bought a seat from an 09 off of fleabay. The frames are different and it absolutely did not fit the 08. It's very iffy trying to make a later seat fit an 08.

I've personally seen and swapped seats from 08 up to 13 for demo purposes without issue. Mustang Seats Catalog shows 08 thru 15 fitment . H-D shows the same.

Whatever, I have personally seen that seats from an 09 did not work properly on an 08. Maybe you can use an 08 on a later model, but my experience is it doesn't work right to put an 09 seat on an 08 bike.

It would mount up, but the seat was bowed and I could hear it click down on the frame when I put my weight on it. It also hurt like heck after about 50 miles due to the hump under my butt.

If I was easily offended, I would think you were calling me a liar, but I'm too old for that, so I'll just assume you had a momentary lapse and didn't intentionally want to imply I was FOS.

I had a seat off a 2010 Ultra. Advertised it as a 2008+ seat and somebody came by when I wasn't home, wife showed it to him, he compared to his seat, looked identical and bought it. Got a phone call the next day saying it didn't fit but he was happy and would alter it to make it fit his '08. Never heard from him again and after reading this thread I fell bad.
I looked on the Mustang site to get my compatible years figured out and that's what I went by.

LOL. You state your personal experience and I state mine and they don't agree so you think I'm calling you a liar?! Most topics on the forum have contradictory responses....

I have an 08 SG and have run into the same problem. My buddy has a 2010 and his stock seat doesn't fit. Another buddy has a low seat from Harley on his 2011 and it fits. the difference is the pan of the seat and I have seen both styles on different bikes. if the pan is flat it will fit 2008 , if there are bumps on the pan of the seat near the front sides it will not fit

Default 2015 SG seat does not fit my 08 electric glide classic

I've been told that oh eight and newer seats are interchangeable on touring models I tried the 2015 Street Glide seat on my 08 Electra Glide Classic and it's not even close
