Ready to make a purchase and I don't see anyone's choice on length or height and inseam of rider. I just made the best guess with a tape measure for the Ultra on my 2003 FLHTCI.

I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam:
7" Ultra Elite - Solo riding
9" Flat Top Elite - With the wife

Shield on it is 13" from center of middle screw. I think it's OEM, but not sure.
Am I in the ball park?

Edit: Dropped 1" to 7" & 9"

Got an email about the special this evening.Been running 7 inch medium smoke and a 8 inch clear Long Ride Shields for the past 5 years, great shields. Ordered an 8 inch medium smoke a few minutes ago.Got the "Ultra" model because I've always had great success removing miscellaneous scratches on 'em with Meguiar's Scratch X swirl remover.

Already own an 8" Ultra Elite I got for a smoking deal from a member here.
For this price, picking up a flatop 10" for myself and my girl.
I went into not enough coffee mode to jump on this deal, accidentally placed an order for the 2014 flat top...for my 05. Oops...

The Ultra Elite is an excellent shield and no distortion at the curve whatsoever. I just need a little taller for me and a little more blockage for 2 up.

Thanks LRS, way to honor our vets and take care of customers as well... Well done.

Default Is there an advantage to a tinted windshield?

I'm getting ready to order a new LRS Ultra Elite windshield while they are offering the 60% discount for Veterans day. Trying to decide between a clear like I have now or a light or medium tint. Is there any advantage to the tinted or is it just for looks? I currently have the 11" Ultra and look just over it. It has some lite swirl marks from cleaning so I decided to order another 11" but get the elite this time. Trying to decide if I should get a tint or not.

It must vary by where you are in the state. I ordered the 11" ($8.00 extra) Ultra Elite and 4 micro-fiber towels and my total was 71.30. (54.80 for the 11" Ultra Elite & 4 towels+16.50 shipping, total $71.30 shipped to Independence, MO

Talked to LRS and they said to put some tape where the shield will be. Had the wife take a picture about eye level and 15 feet in front of me.

Lower tape is 7" for the Ultra Elite for solo riding.
Upper tape is 9" for the Flat Top Elite with the wife on board.

Should I stay at 9" or go 8" on the Flat Top Elite per the video on LRS? This would be at the bottom of the upper tape. Not sure if I should stay low with the design intent of the Flat Top or go high 11" and look through the shield for extra wind protection for the wife.

I need to call LRS back tomorrow morning before they ship. Help would be appreciated from LRS users in the know.
