If it wasn't for the forced winter down time Id never mod my bike, I wouldn't stop riding. I love winter. But that's also partially because I like living somewhere that has 4 seasons instead of 10 months of suck and 2 months of cool weather, then right back to sweating my nuts off. I rode in Florida for 2 weeks around 4th of July this year. It was so hot it was almost not even enjoyable.

not unheard off - mid eighties, I knew a guy that had a 1BD apartment and kept a GSXR race bike and a Marlboro RD500 in the living room and a 900 Ninja in the bedroom.

yeah, don't think that would ever happen at my house. don't think the wife would like it too much. might be able to put it in the finished basement but I have a garage to keep it in. not heated but keep two bikes and a tractor in it instead of the cars. I ride mine most of the winter anyway....at least if its above 35 and the roads haven't been icey in a day or two. we get a few days a month at least that you can go down the road.....especially if you have heated gear.
