just stg1 and bolt in cams (Andews 26's, which are easy on the engine - while cooling her down).. dynoed and rode like the Grandpa that I am...

52 K on our 07 and she just keeps running stronger every Yr...

only prob I've ever had was the hole in the gas line at 33K...

Pick up a screamin eagle parts catalog. If you do the street legal upgrade kits, you most likely will retain stock reliability. Turn to the kits in the racing pages and expect less life. Temper all of this with your riding style.

If you're snowed in you can read it on-line, on H-D's website!

punch the wall repeatedly, lightly for a minute

now a bit harder for another minute.

now a lot harder for another ......

Sure you got the picture now,

More power=bigger bangs, and the engine components feel it with every stroke. Things wear out faster or break as a result. The engine was designed to produce a certain amount of power. The SE 110 engine is different than the stockers for that reason.

Doing upgrades needs to take that into consideration.

It's all in the build. You shouldn't fear hp if the engine doesn't stress to give it. I just read where Cadillac has a 6 cylinder engine that puts out around 450hp. Todays Corvette with gobs more stock hp than the vettes of the 60s and 70s will go 200,000 miles without any problems. If you want power and reliability, just find a proven build like a big engine with de-rated hp.

I look at it this way.... I'm going to ride mine until it breaks and then I'll fix it, just like the guy who doesn't do anything to his bike will. Difference is, I'll have a lot more fun on mine! BTW, over 9k miles since my motor work and no issues...and I don't baby it.

The SE110 is just a stock TC with a bigger bore and heads with larger combustion chambers to keep the compression down due to the increased bore size and the EPA compliant cams. The bottom end and every other component is identical to a stock 96" TC.

I have alway heard it's all about having the biggest one. It is suppose to get you the biggest bang. Same goes for motors? When this one went, the owner though a covey of quail went out his butt..Ha..
