Default Screaming Eagle 103" stage 4 or 110" stage 1

As the title states looking at both these kits both about $2K. Now I know there are other kits that might be better and or cheaper. I'm looking at best bang for buck between these two. Looking for everyday ride ability and touring reliability. Also the ability to pull into just about any HD dealer and get it worked on if needed!!

The 110 will be more due to the fact that the cases will need to be bored. If your going on a budget, do the 103.

Personally, I'd do the Fuel Moto 107

Ya don't have to have HD parts for a dealer to work on it. Have your cylinders bored to some 103/107 10.5 pistons. Send your heads to a good head shop. Pick a good cam with the head shop to match the heads. Get a proper flash tuner and dyno tune. Ya will be dollars and performance ahead of either SE kit. Whatever ya do don't waste time or dollars on the basic 110 kit.

we did a stage 4 on a 103 yesterday and it made 111hp and 113 torque so that's pretty good numbers and very rideable

I have a 110 in my CVO Road King. Had a Stage IV in my Street Glide making 116/116 SAE. It was much stronger than the 110. The 110 is easier to ride because I don't have to keep RPMs up a little bit like I did with the Stage IV. Don't let this deter you though, as it wasn't bad. If you can do the work yourself, I would say go with the Stage IV.

I can't see a 110" conversion being a starter, also the stage IV kit includes new heads, which will cost you more than getting your stock heads ported and gas flowed. We have sponsors including FM and Hillside who can both provide proven high performance conversions. I suggest you investigate both of those (at least) before making a final decision, perhaps include a local tuning shop as well. You could end up better off both financially and performance-wise!

Out of the two kits that you are asking about my opinion is the 103 Stage iV is the better option as far as power is concerned. Plus the 103 kit is a top end kit (other than cams) whereas the 110 kit willl reqiuire you to remove the botttom end, split the cases and have them bored.
