I was going to get the chrome legs but decided to go with gloss black legs and chrome upper covers(cowbell). I really like how it turned out.

Here is a crappy pic of my polished lower legs. I debated over chrome or polished on this 14 SG, if it does not work out the exchange is not hard to do.

I have a pair of stock take-off lower-legs sitting in a box. My intention is to get them powder-coated 'chrome' (one of these days) along with the stock cowbells. Powder-coat's pretty durable. I've only seen pics of the 'chrome' variant, but it looked pretty shiny.

Anyone have experience of powder-coat 'chrome' for reference?

Thanks,
Alan

Stock fork legs are cast aluminum. You can bright polish cast aluminum to a brilliant shine, but it will oxidize quickly, even on a bike that is ridden once a week in good weather.

Chrome will not have the same issue, and it will repel dirt and grime much more efficiently than bare polished aluminum.
