Default Chromed vs Polished Lower Legs

What are your opinions/experiences/thoughts on these polished lower ;egs versus the chromed ones?
I was shopping for chromed legs for my '05 RKC and came across these polished ones. Will they look as nice and hold up?

My personal experience with polished aluminum ANYTHING is that it requires a LOT of maintenance to keep it up to my level of acceptance. I will never own any polished aluminum motor parts, rims, or bike parts ever again. Chrome is the only way I will go and the shine is much deeper looking than polished aluminum and doesn't require the work to keep it that way. Just my experience.

Excellent! Thank you. That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure.

I went threw the same question recently. I came to the same conclusion as these guys. For $175 bucks, get chrome. Lasts much much longer and looks better.

I had polished on my heritage, the maintenance on it sucked. I just bought some chrome lowers for for the street glide on here. there's no way I'm going back to that nightmare...... good luck Man....

I polished mine when I had the wheel off, looks much better than the stock Finnish, But next time I have to replace a tire I''ll probably buy/exchange them for chrome.

Chrome is good. If you can, look into getting the chrome front end kit if they have 'em for your '05.
