Not even close. But why would you think '91101'?

However, if you buy the security option at the dealer and have it installed at the dealer - they do all of this for you during installation - including setting a random code if you don't ask for a specific one.

Things I was told and experienced anyway... I know for fact my PDI tech did not set a random code and my code was 12345 just as the Corporate dude told me it would be. YMMV....

I only mention all of this in case someone ends up in the same situation as I did. Try 12345 or 11111 apparently. If it doesn't work, least you tried

I have been working at a Harley dealership for over 20 years and have been programing key fobs since Harley first came out with the security system. If a code was programed in a bike it was a bike that was traded to them from another dealer.Once more, the security is not programmed at the factory,it is done at the dealership.

Ok. Once more, I spoke to someone at corporate and they told me different and I used this magic code myself.

Moving on... thanks for the info.

Default Your Answer........

G'day mate,

Unless you personally changed it which is unlikely (although you should have) the answer will be one of the following 3:

1) 00000
2) 12345
3) The last 5 digits of your VIN number.

Good luck my friend,

BuzzCap7

Been posted and confirmed many times, there are NO zeros in the code.
Only the digits 1 thru 9

When I picked up my Street Glide new, it wasn't any of the 3 numbers you listed either.
The dealer did make sure to show me the card in the back of the owners manual, where they had written the code they set.

Oh I totally believe what you're saying. Just doesn't match what happened in my case. Kinda want an explanation how that happens really. I know you're not the guy for that and that's ok.

Just because I'm curious, and since you are in the know, how do they start the bikes and run them - on their little dyno at the factory - that have security already installed on them coming right off the line?
Looks like just having the Security module installed (and not initalized) does not disable the vehicle right away until later when you set it up during PDI or something.

Do you know they do that? Master key or something?

Got my bike used, never knew the pin. Saw this thread and remember to reset it. Thanks for bringing this up! The seller didn't remember it so I really needed to switch it out. My code was 32121. Dealer set it maybe?

You should also practice starting the scooter with the code.

You could probably write it on the tank and most people can not unlock it. Just make it 1 1 1 1 1 . That way you can just rock the blinker right left ... If a crook is smart enough to figure that out, he will just figure another way. And that way, at least you will be able to unlock it if you remember which way to turn the switch.
