Run your hand over the tire tread and see if it is wearing evenly or cupping.
If so check your alignment.

Tire pressures drop quickly in cold weather also. It's a good reminder for everyone to check your tire pressures now that the weather has cooled down considerably throughout the country.

Your pressures could be really low!

I doubt it is rear tire wear making you wobble ... More likely tire pressure, especially the front when cold.

But if you are that low on tread, try the American Elites, they are really nice.

AEs on last two bikes... loved the feel in heat, rain, cold; wore great; good deal on 'em from my Indie... although the DS keeps popping in my head...but it'll have to wait, I've got a new AE sitting on the shelf waiting for a spring tour....

My Granddaddy used to say "Drink good liquor and ride on good rubber". I believe He had had bad experiences on both of them.
Works for me!

low tire pressure like mentioned above and riding style can cause the rear tire to square up like that. I know if i had cams and a big bore kit and heads i would have a square tire too!

Yea this was a brand new 2012 take off cast wheel stock rear. I just put on this past April. 7 months it lasted. was all fun riding though. I got 9 k out of it.
I could get a bit more out of it tread wise but the ability of the tire to take curves now is gone due to the flat spot.
