Default Layback Plate 60210-07 Fitment

I'm interested in putting the layback plate 60210-07 on my 2008 Electra Glide Classic. The HD fitment indicates that it only fits the Electra Glide Standard. In addition, the installation instructions indicate that it does not fit with the Tour-Pak detach rack.

Not sure why it would fit the Standard, but not the Classic. Also, seems that since it lays down, it should be lower than the straight up/down plate that comes with the detach kit (53303-07).

Anyone fit this on a Classic with the Tour-Pak detach kit? If so, did you need to modify anything?

I have an 05 Classic with the detatch tour pack, and use this one: http://www.haulenass.com/product/HA-LPLPM-001-01

Perfect, and at a good price.

I like your pic too. I have the Mustang solo seat and luggage rack as well. Looking good.

Thanks!

I have a laydown bracket that looks like part number 60277-07. You can have it if you want it. It came off of my 05 Road King. PM me your address if you want it.

I will take care of the shipping. Just want to help someone out when I can. Especially a fellow rider. I give **** away all of the time if it will help someone out. Sharing parts is always a great deal and hopefully it is contagious.

The reason the MOCO says it won't fit is because it's supposedly not DOT legal, meaning it can't be readily read by a camera. There are a lot of items in the P&A catalog that state "won't work or fit" and it will just not supposed to use it in that way. It works on my bike and it's true, a toll camera can't see the tag.

Thumbs up

Hats off to shitbox for helping out a fellow member!

Yeah, I noticed that I have never got a bill from the toll roads and thought that the tourpak obscured the view. I never considered the angle of my layback plate mount being the reason. Got mine from Biker Bob's.
