Default Lifter oil hole

I goofed I pulled the lifters out of my 2007 Electra glide I noted which was the intake and
Exhaust on each cylinder but did not pay attention to which way the oil hole was facing on the front or rear. Service manual does not say any help here thanks feeling really stupid right now

The MoCo faces the oil hole toward the cylinders....however it doesn't matter because the oil fills the recess in the lifter 360 degrees.

if I'm not mistaken the lifter rotates while the engine is running anyway, so it really is irrelevant

Late Harleys use Chevy style Roller lifters and are not designed to rotate like flat tappets. They have a keeper to orientate them.

Can you even put the retainer pin in if they are facing the wrong way?

The lifter has a flat on the left and right in the picture, it can be turned 180 degrees.
The pin is on the left of the two lifters.
Like said factory manual call for a certain position for the hole but most engine builders agree does not mater because there is a slot that is cut around the lifter for oil to flow to the hole.
