Default Sadly another seat question..

I've just picked up an 07' Ultra Classic and a buddy gave me a solo seat to try out. Awesome seat, but, I don't think it was made for my year. Mine doesn't have a spot for a bolt in the fender for the back of the seat, and there was a large gap between front of seat and fuel tank center trim panel. What seats will fit on a 07'? I'd like to pick up a street glide seat, instead of a solo. Is there a plug and play harness you can purchase so you can get the quick attach docking station for tour pack, or, do most people just cut the wires and install a harness connector?

I don't have an answer but I can tell u I have a 2014 Street Glide Spec and it is the same way. So if anybody reads this as well did they just drill a hole in there fender for a solo? That would be my guess

seat from any street glide or road glide from '96-'07 will fit on your ultra. they have the shorter nose like the seat you put on but there is a panel that you can buy to fill the gap between the seat and console. http://www.jpcycles.com/search/searc...012733&Ntk=All

for the solo seat, I believe there is a bracket that mounts to the two studs under the seat that has a threaded hole to bolt down a solo seat. then you can get a bib to cover the exposed rear fender if you choose

How some solo seats mount ( this is a H-D Brawler on an 09 FLHTC):

seats for 08's are kinda mutts

seat for 09+ interchange to 15

seats from 07 down to about 1999 interchange ( maybe earlier)

for the detachable tourpak- some disconnect the wiring and roll it up under the seat or the left side cover if you don;t have ABS.

some ( very few) cut and splice...I did because I wanted to add extra circuits in the T/P for usb in addition to marker and brake lights...I used a flat 4 trailer plug.

I don;t have a cb antenna...my am/ fm is a rubber stubby on the left side off the inner saddlebag brace.

my plate hangs under my taillight.

I have a Danny Gray solo seat that mounts using the same style bracket.

97 to 07 fit your bike. The harness is a little tricky to make it quick connect for the tourpak but i've done it. There is actually a thread on here that lays it out very clearly. I followed it and it was a big help.
