Default Alarm Issue

I purchased a 2007 Ultra a month ago and have been having issues with alarm. I've put new batteries in remotes and as soon as I hit the ignition or turn bars the lights start flashing and it disables starting system. How can I disable this so I can start it up?

Sounds as if the system isn't being disabled. Doesn't the remote have a push-button, to disable before operating the key? If you don't have an owners manual you should be able to download one on the H-D website, go to the Owners tab.

These two fobs dont have a button to push. Manual says they should pick up remote an d automatically sync and disable alarm. Put batteries in both fobs.

That type must have been introduced earlier than I realised!

the proximity fob was first introduced in 2007.

sounds like you have the batteries in the fob backwards. check the polarity.

The flashing lights indicate your security system isn't recognizing the FOB.
In that case if you want to start the bike, just enter the over ride PIN.
But I am assuming you don't know the PIN?

Make sure the batteries are in correct.
There have been multiple threads where the user had them in upside down.

When the batteries are in the fob, you should be able to read the battery type when the cover is off.
If memory is correct, I think they are 2032 type.
I have a 2007 UGC and replace every year.

Bought new batteries again... Checked them with my battery tester and they are fully charged. Still bring it right next to bike and it still won't disable alarm. I have tried the turn signal switch method of changing pin, but, it won't display numbers on odometer.. Only mileage.. I wish I could find how to just UNHOOK the alarm so I can at least cruise around town once or twice.

Has the bike been cranking properly in the month you've had it?

When lucky enough to trick the alarm it turns over and starts, but, that doesn't happen often. I'ts starting to really get to me. Every post I read says all you have to do is put new batteries in remote and everything will be good. I know the previous owner didn't have the issue the night I went and picked it up. He did say the remotes needed new batteries, but, like I said, I put new Duracells in again tonight. Positive side down like it says.
