Roger that. For now, I've got to cooperate and comply. My goal is to have her riding her own, but will probably take 5 years. She's ridden dirt bikes with me, but the cars on the road scare the hell out of her as they should.

 

Your first mistake was telling her the strap was worthless...

 

Just get a grab handle belt and it may solve your problems.

 

My wife likes the HD grab rail I installed on the 2010 FLTHCU. Besides, in Texas Malorie's Law makes it mandatory to have some type of handhold (stock strap qualifies too). She's only 5' tall but it does not dig into her thighs but I do have reduced reach passenger footboards which raises her leg higher. I did put the grab rail covers on also to give her a better grip but unlike the instruction diagram I had to install it on the rear curve of the rail; it would only work installed on the front of the rail if my passenger was a gorilla.
