Default EFM or Rekluse Auto Clutch or ???

Wrist surgery didn't take, it is either get an auto clutch, or sell the road king. Any recco's on which auto-clutch kit to buy. Prefer one I can install myself, without having to wait while my parts are modified.

Thanks for any info...

I have raced ATV's for many years. I have raced on the national level until a bad crash ended my fun this year. I have always used a Rekluse clutch. They are a top notch company with awesome support. You can't go wrong with it.

You might read this thread from the Rushmore section. It was just written last night and may be some information that would be useful.

Perfect timing on this thread, just found out that my left elbow is trashed and
cannot be fixed with surgery so was looking for options when someone said look at EFM auto clutch.

Well it just so happens that I live about 25 minutes away from EFM and was planning a trip over to see them, will repost after my visit.

Hope to see more replies about these 2 products.

Sorry not trying to steal this thread just came out at the right time.

from what I have learned:
EFM, if you remove your entire clutch including basket and send it in for maching, $699
if you want all new parts (so you could go bak to stock I suppose): $1360

Rekluse: no more difficult that replacing clutch discs. $799

I'm leaning toward Rekluse

They are very easy to install and come with detailed instructions. Rekluse usually puts and install video on their web page as well to assist. As they say you can use your regular clutching as well as the automatic. This is true and it is amazing. Apples to oranges but helped my lap times racing by a lot. I was very surprised by the performance of these clutches.

My buddy had the Rekluse installed last year at Sturgis, he absolutely swears by it.

Wink

Interesting subject! For future reference a couple of links: Rekluse Auto Clutch and EFM Auto Clutch. Of interest to older bike owners is that the EFM is available for '90 on bikes, while the Rekluse is only available for '07 on.

Default EFM Autoclutch

Efm auto clutch works well. I bought one to put on my wife's trike. She eventually decided that using the clutch the original way was better once she got the hang of it. So I have an EFM complete with new clutch basket and extra plate clutch for sale. She used it for maybe 1000 miles. Its for a 2012 Tri Glide so not sure what bikes its will fit but will give you a great deal as once the basket has been modified you cannot go back to stock setup. (That is why I bought a complete basket with clutch) PM me if you are interested. Thanks
