TW555 Installed 12/17/14

Yeah. I was close to saying okay to the 777 but already had the 555 kit sitting in my saddle bag. Even after I ordered the parts I was still questioning my decision. I'm sure Bob and Fuel Moto was tired of hearing from me.

I've heard and read the 777 is the 555 on steroids! He said the 777 with a pulley or "clutch basket" (I think that's what he said) would really be a hot rod. Would be even better with head work and compression. I kept middle of the road. I'm after long term reliability with a lot of fun thrown in there. ONLY reason I didn't go 222 was because my history has shown me I will want to do something else in a couple of years and don't want to have to buy another cam. 555 allows me to grow the engine in stages if I want. 222 doesn't show as good of numbers as 555 (or 777) with upgrades to heads or Pistons.
Good write-up!

I don't think you will go wrong with any of the woods cams. I used Andrews years ago on my 88" 98 Road King and was really happy. For a 103" I was going to use their 57H. Lots cheaper than the woods but the proof for me was given today. I'm happy. A little lighter in the wallet than if I went Andrews but happy.

Bike is little lean in the above 3000 rpm in the 30 to 80 % load area. With these cams as most cams you need to jump the VE's at the above 3000 up area mentioned above by 3 to 5%. Mostly in the cruise to light load area which is 40 to 80. Other than that problem sounds like a decent tune. Have the same exact setup on Son in Laws 12 limited except has 30 tooth, and Power Duals and 4" Jackpots. Can send you a map that shows what timing and VE's his is using if you want. Will need to send me a PM with your email and reference this post. Too difficult to send maps over the forum due to being very restrictive on formats.
