Default is changing boss fatcat to boarzilla on 117 a mistake

need input. I am thinking of changing my boss fatcat to a boarzilla on my 117 build. I know its right on the line of either exhaust, will I lose tourqe and is the expense worth it for just a number or two. thanks

The borezilla will be a better match for your 117. The zilla pipe and baffle are larger than the standard fatcat. What are the specifics on your build?

Currently has a 58mm to 5.3 injectors woods 888 cams 10.5 to 1 Pistons with heads shaved .040 to get the compression at 11.0 - 11.2 , heads are stage 3 screaming eagle . Boss fatcat 2 into 1 exhaust . 120 hp 132 to. So I wasn,t that happy with my hp number and think I need more cam . Looking at the new wood 999 which is their modified tw8-9 . Only want to do it once so that's why I,m looking at the boarzilla

I'm making 121 hp with a 106...I think you need to take your bike to a different tuner. I believe the Boarzilla was designed for the bigger displacement engines, which you have. JMHO, get the Boarzilla AND a different dyno guy.

What baffle fatcat? If it's the quiet baffle I'd change it out but then again 1k is a lot of money. I have both pipes in my garage. Took the quiet fatcat off to run a Borezilla on my 124. I thinkYou will get better lower numbers and response from the fatcat. The Zilla will be better up top but how often do you ride at 5-6k Rpms

What does your Builder / Tuner have to say?

Yes with your new combination the zilla will be much better. You really should have your heads ported and use a different cam. Yes fuel moto made some big numbers with the new 999 cam. I would stick to a proven performer like 662-1 at 11.0. or the 662-2 at 11.2

Boarzilla would work really well for your combination, we are just finishing up a 117 using this pipe: 2010 FLH, FM 117 11.25 comp, FM/Gary Williams hybrid heads, Wood TW-999 cam, SE58mm TB, Boarzilla 21/, we have a couple of touches to put on the tune however we are well into the 140's HP/Tq. We will post on our newsfeeds and Facebook page when we finish up
