My fairing on my RK was on the bike when I bought it. But there are cracks starting to form in in it and the edge paint is wearing off. I am considering going back to a stock windshield but unsure if ill like it or want to spend the $350 for something I may not like.

 

Chum up to a parts guy at your dealership. Give him your story and tell him there is a possibility that you'll buy one if you can try it out for 30 minutes or so. Or maybe they have demo windshields like they do seats. Good luck.

 

My Dealer has demo windshields for folks to try out, maybe yours does too.
They had to etch "Demo" on them because some folks were not bringing them back...
