I've heard fishing line works well for taking those off and Goof off should remove any left behind adhesive.

They come off easily. On my Limited I just used my fingers and pried from the top and they popped right off. WD-40 takes residue off as well.

Fishing line or dental floss will cut through the tape on the back if they are really stuck in there.

If you ride at night leave them on. Every little bit helps evade those who will tee bone you.

One of the first things I do to any bike I got, new or used is remove the reflectors and warning decals.
Forks - I guess heavy fishing line would work. I just get a rag (under the screwdriver) and small screwdriver and pry them off, some of the adhesive padding may be left and they may break, but they're going in the trash anyway. I do the same with reflectors on the frame, fenders, struts, and bag latches.
After that either just rub until all the residue comes off or I actually have some commercial grade Emblem & Decal remover. Heat gun helps on decals (on Chrome - I don't heat paint.
Most important is take your time - a bad scratch is worse that the reflector.

I used to do that but now I leave every safety item on my bikes. Sort of like upgrading lights and signals to brighter LED's so people can see me better at night.

It also keeps the insurance companies from not denying a claim to you because the other person has a valid reason for "not seeing the motorcycle because he took all the reflectors off his bike."
Probably going to add some reflectors to my full face helmet also!

I have been using some 3m black reflective tape for years on my helmets. I cut out different shapes and stripes. Does 2 things, makes helmet and me more visible in the dark and makes helmet look so damn weird and ugly nobody would want to steal it.

Yea that's the only reason I haven't removed them yet for visibility reasons.

They were a pain on my 09 to get off. Tried all that wd-40, goo gone, etc. Looked like garbage.

Just went this route:

OH that's right up there with insurance companies denying a claim because his aircraft beacon strobes weren't installed. They're not going to deny a claim over that.

They MAY drop them afterwards.
