We'll get a billion responses for which oil is best. What's more important is that you stay on top of your oil changes.

You will not regret the purchase of a j&s jack either. Just received mine Thursday and wonder why I waited so long to buy one. Worth every penny

I'm surprised no-one said anything about how a drain and fill doesn't get all the old oil out.

And why does that matter?

I use HD Synthetic in all 3 holes as that is how the bike was delivered.

If you're running dino oil and then switch to full syn without getting all the old out is that ok? Some people are very **** about not mixing. I don't think it's a problem and after 3 or 4 oil changes it will all be worked out of the system. Just throwing it out there.

Unless you plan to dismantle the entire engine, you'll never get all the old oil out. Just drain it, and refill it with synthetic. You are 100% correct, after 3 or 4 changes, it won't matter.

Yep, if you change it upright on a table lift you drain less out too.

You don't have to dismantle the motor to get all the oil out. There's a product out there on the market to make it easier to get it all out. Or you could pull the plugs and crank it over. The pump should return most of it to the reservoir and then it'll drain out the drain hole.
