Weird question OTD! How high/tall is an '06 FLHTCUSE?
I just posted this over in the CVO section since it's the Screamin' Eagle version but thought I might get more ideas here as well:

My enclosed trailer will fit the bike once it's inside but the rear door is only 45" high. What opinions do I have to get it in there?
Windshield, antennas, & mirrors are easy.
Lowering the air-pressure in the front tire helps maybe an inch before I start damaging the tire itself.
How hard it the batwing to remove?
Can the front suspension be temporarily lowered (easily)?
I don't really want to borrow an open trailer (snow/salt where I live) nor rent a larger one (time & distance put that over $1000) but any other ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

The windshield is easy to remove, however removing the batwing is very time consuming. The forks won't compress except briefly by using the front brakes - they have long springs inside! Is there any way you can modify your trailer doorway? That seems to be an easier approach and is totally within your control!

Good idea tho. Thank you!

45" sounds very low for a doorway, what sort of use is your trailer intended for?! Compared with the cost of hiring one you have a 'budget' of 1,000 dollars within which to make mods to your own trailer - if that is at all feasible, of course! Just a thought.
We've had some fun in another thread about getting a dresser onto a pickup. Now a trailer doesn't present quite the same challenge, but man-handling one on a dolly doesn't sound very easy either, especially if a ramp is involved!

where is the bike?
as we have been chewing over on another thread the past 2 weeks- a touring Harley WILL fit in the back of a shortbed pickup...get, rent, borrow one.
otherwise there are bike shipping specialists who can door to door for a fee.
nice bridge you have there...used to cross it in the 60's to buy firecrackers...wonder I gots all my fingers.
as far as road salt etc...NEVER try to cover a bike with a tarp- it'll scuff teh paint badly.
find the time to wash and wax the bike...this will help you do a hose down when you get home...hopefully on a day above freezing

The bike 'was' done in TN. I've thought about renting or borrowing a long-bed pickup but also found a place to rent an enclosed trailer one-way for less than I had originally seen. if I find another bike, that's probably the way I'll go.
Yeah, I love being on the River even more than my bike!
