Hi Guys,
has anyone of you installed the Saddlebag Lid Organizers part # 53548-02A
in conjunction with Saddlebag Rails part # 90200737 ?
According to the instructions it's not possible, but I had the combo Organizer / Rails mounted to my 99 Road King without any problem. As far as I have seen, the cut out's for the bolts are still in the organizer. Only difference is the missing "A" in the part #. Any help is appreciated, for I liked them and want to put them on my 2012 Ultra saddlebags.

I have got a saddlebag, it looks nice.

 

In the late 70's and into the 80's, hell, the saddlebag lids werent even hinged. The hinge points just slid into place into a slot. If you didnt close the latch tight, they would blow off (ask how I know) .

But as far as thieves goes, it doesnt matter how the bags twist or lock into place: If someone wants them, or inside them, it will take about 5 seconds to do.

I take the whole saddlebags inside when I'm at a hotel. Thats why they have quick releases in the first place
