Default FLHP Stock Pipes WAY to Quiet

2013 FLHP

Question is can I switch out the baffles? or not really possible with stock?

Was looking at 4-1/2″ Hi-Output Chrome Slip-on Mufflers with Carbon Tips

Looking for a good low rumble, not necessarily loudest on the block, my ironhead is good for that. just a good mean sound.

Suggestions always appreciated.

Not sure if it will be loud enough for you for the money it may be best to find a complete system. I put slipons on mine then gutted them now looking at head pipes or decatting. I think im after the same sound as you want to hear the radio and also have it sound like a Harley.

some guys go at the mufflers with a hole saw...usually on their way to buying a system- so wasted time and effort I think.

some Riders are happy with the stock mufflers once they remove the cat from the header, or buy a decatted header off ebay ( about $150) or buy a complete header system.

but that twin cam will never sound like your other bike

the best approach is go hear other bikes and see what you like- it is likely different that what I ( or other forum members like)

You may want to try a different headpipe without the catalytic converter first. Cheap fix better sound (in my opinion) a bit louder but not too loud.

We offer slip ons for $249! They fit a stock head pipe. We also offer a head pipe the same size so if you eventually want to go a full true dual system you just have to buy our head pipes. Our pipes have a great sound as they are made of 16 gauge steel. Nice low aggressive rumble.
