Default cleaning engine black and edges

have 04 road king, immaculate shape but the cylinder black is more grey now and the edges have dulled up and show some corrosion, any ideas how to restore to new look.. for.the edges I was thinking very fine emery cloth and the polish with metal polish...but then polish gets on black and leaves white marks....anybody have ideas

I'm a big fan of the S100 engine brightener. Works great! As far as the edges of the fins maybe try a green scotch bright pad very lightly.

Brake cleaner on a rag will keep your shiny edges on your fins looking sharp. Like other have said I don't think anything works better than s100, available at any Harley shop. About $10.00 for a spray can which will last for about 3 coats over a couple of years time.

+1 on pig spur for the black, & Scotchbrite on the funs or if really bad a dremel with the Scotchbrite type wheels...

+1 on the S100 engine brightener. If you're polishing the chrome, do it before the brightener.

I use "stove black", essentially high temperature paint, to restore the engine black. I carefully put it on the fins with one of those narrow foam paint applicators. The stuff is available at wood stove shops or hardware stores.
