Default Shipping a bike.

Wondering if anyone has used the company that has a link on the HD web site; Federal Motorcycle Transport. What do you think of them? Would you do it again? Are there any other companies anyone would recommend for the west coast?

Thanks

I used these guys everything went well, took about 3 weeks from PA to GA.

They picked-up the day they said they would and called a day ahead of when they planned to deliver. The bike was intact.

This is in the east coast though; not sure if they are nation wide. I would recommend them.

Yep... I used them to ship my bike from San Diego, CA to Raleigh, NC. It took exactly one week to transport and arrived in perfect condition.

I used them to ship from Hawaii to CT - the only thing I didn't like was the bike was uncovered on the little truck that made the final delivery. They said they were going to cover it when they loaded it into the boat to CA but who knows? The bike arrived in good condition, just a little dirty. Joe

ps they give discounts to HOG and AMA members - AMA was a little cheaper when I did it, but the woman said it varies, so ask for both.

Post it up on U-ship or some other place where hot shot load haulers run all over the country.

Same here. They shipped mine from Los Angeles to Raleigh in one week, not a scratch

Shipped three bikes from North Carolina to California last summer with them. After ironing out some glitches with the pickup date everything went well. Delivered on time with no damage. Yes would use again.

Thanks everyone. I'll be using Federal. I live in the Seattle area and the wife and I are planning on doing the ride along the western US coast. Will ship the bike to San Diego and well fly down, and ride back on Hwy 1 and 101.
